We have the great pleasure of inviting you to join us for the 24th session of the International Food Culture Exchange- Argentinian cuisines by Madam Peña and the Argentina Trade and Cultural Office at the Eslite Bookstore (the one close by City Hall) on March 26, Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please check the details as attached and block the date, invite your dear friends to come along.

Argentina, the 2nd largest country in South America and also one of the world's major food producers, enjoys her very unique lifestyle with cultural influences not only her own color tone- Latin America, but also from European immigrants (those from Italy, Spain & French) came centuries ago. So many of the pasta, sausage and dessert dishes are the indulgent creations from the indigenous and the European's. Yerba mate, Argentina's national beverage, and so many other cuisines tells every little bit ! of! the warm hospitality as well as the passion of Argentinians.

We are honored to have this great opportunity to invite madam Peña, the representative's wife of the Argentina Trade and Cultural Office to come and demonstrate couple popular banquet dishes in Argentina this time. Tango named world cultural heritage by the UN

Excerpted from AFP:

"Argentina and Uruguay, which have long fought over who invented the tango, buried their differences to earn UNESCO's recognition of the dance and its music as a world cultural treasure.
The United Nations cultural organization granted the sultry tango dance steps "intangible cultural heritage" status during a meeting of 400 experts in Abu Dhabi."

Movie "Yang Yang" in theaters since Aug. 7th

* Taiwan movie "Yang Yang" will be in theaters this Friday. "Yang Yang" participated in Berlin Film Festival and was opening film at the Taipei Film Festival this year, being the only movie sold out at the festival. Argentine tango scenes were shot at Tanguisimo Tango Space and Daniel & Stacy instructed the actors on the field of argentine tango dance. Do not miss the opportunity to watch our beloved Tanguisimo in the movie!

Congratulations! to Stacy and Tzu-Han for winning 2nd prize at the Asian Tango Championship

* Taiwan dancer Stacy Szu-Chi Jou and Taiwanese-American dancer Tzu-Han Hsu participated in the 6th World Tango Championship in Asia in July 4th and 5th of 2009 at Tokyo, Japan, winning 2nd prize of the category of Tango Salon, becoming the first taiwanese to achieve this rank. Congratulations!
